“ I visited the Tea Room while passing through on foot. The cakes looked lovely and there were a couple of vegan ones too. There was a menu with savoury dishes but I didn’t pay too much attention to what was on there. There is seating both indoors and outside. I imagine it might be difficult to get a table at peak times as it was fairly busy when I visited on a dull Saturday morning. Staff were friendly and efficient. ”
“ I have been meaning to write a review for a while now. This place is a hidden gem in Barnsley. After visiting plenty of times with the dog I can say the coffees and cakes and more than a treat. I came one day with the dog after my day at work and had just reached the cafe when he was closing up. Even though closed, he made me and my friend 2 cups of tea on the house and we couldn’t have thanked his kindness more on a cold day. Really lovely people, great food and drink and a great addition to your walk. Definitely stop here! ”
“ A lovely Tea Room based at Worsborough Mill & Country Park, offering a range of fresh locally-roasted coffee and speciality teas, freshly made stone baked pizzas, breakfast and brunch, handmade cakes, ice creams and daily specials. They are also dog-friendly. I visited Millers Tea Room in Worsborough for brunch, and it was absolutely delightful! This gorgeous tea room serves up food daily from 9am including some cracking breakfasts, brunch dishes, lunches, cakes and bakes AND they do a monthly Bistro night too (keep reading or more on one we attended). I enjoyed their signature dish, Hash & Black; poached eggs, black pudding, hash browns & avocado on sourdough, topped with Yorkshire Preserves Habanero sauce. Perfectly cooked eggs, this is a delicious and filling meal. I also tried their pancakes lathered in Yorkshire Preserves lemon curd, with fresh fruit and cream, wow. I definitely didn’t need to eat both, but I tried my damned hardest as they were really moreish and yummy. The Mill is still a working mill (although currently in repair), producing flours for local bakeries. I was kindly gifted a freshly baked loaf, still warm, sourdough loaf from Millers, which went towards some fantastic lunches and dinners for the week. A few weeks later, Ben and I returned for one of their Friday evening Bistro Nights, this time it was Greek Night! For a set menu at 35pp, the food was delicious and aplenty, and the service was super. You could also cheese from a wide range of drinks on the night too including some great wines, and a small selection of beers. We enjoyed; Bread (made from the flour milled at Worsborough Mill) & olives Baked feta Pork souvlaki (with a little Yorkshire Preserves green chilli sauce) Baklava Mess Orange & lemon tart What a lovely little date night, somewhere fairly local to us. We are hoping they bring back Bistro nights later in the year. I would highly recommend giving this place a visit for food, and whilst you’re there, why not have a walk around the mill and the reservoir and take in some of the local scenery and wildlife. I had a lovely morning there! ”
“ Lovely tearoom in the beautiful setting of Worsbrough Mill and Country Park. Perfect for a nice walk and for me, coffee and cake/ice cream and a sausage for my dog. Pleasant friendly staff, great quality food and coffees. Good selection of cakes and ice creams. The food I see served always looks great. ”
“ We visited on a Saturday in October and were lucky to get a table in this popular tea shop. The setting is idyllic-lovely walks through trees and a reservoir, a functioning historic mill, lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the setting in the warmer months. The tea shop itself is excellent. The staff are welcoming, the food is delicious and they have a surprisingly large variety of cakes on offer-about 20, all freshly made. We really enjoyed the lemon meringue cronut. They offer made to order pizzas using their own milled flour (delicious) and a range of sandwiches-we enjoyed their grilled cheese on sourdough. They also serve proper coffee! A perfect place for a spot of lunch or coffee and cake. Dogs are welcomed :) ”
